Dr Bonney has a special interest in depression and the loss of community many people experience as part of modern social structures. For many, this loss of community, the support people receive from community and the shared experience of community, means resilience is worn down and resulting in unfulfilling experiences. By assisting people to re-engage with their community, be it a sporting club, reading group or friends and family people can share the experiences and continue growth as people.
